It's Easter holiday time again and unfortunately it is also a time that's notorious for road accidents.
Sandra Cook's father was killed six years ago in a freak traffic accident.
Together with Kerry Sunderland, she has created an online social network community called Journey Beyond Road Trauma.

In 2004 Sandra Cook's father was killed in a head-on collision, his car smashed into by a nurse driving home after a night shift.
Sandra was depressed and bewildered by the circumstances of her father's sudden death and had to find out why it had happened - she wanted to know the other story. But the truth turned out to be so much more complicated than Sandra had imagined.
At the beginning of this year Sandra helped set up a website for people affected by road trauma.

Journey Beyond Road Trauma founding community member Eli Murn was invited to speak about his experience of the crash he caused and the ongoing experience of living with an aquired brain injury as a result.

WHEN Bill Cook was killed in a road crash, his daughter Sandra searched everywhere for support during her grief and the harrowing court process that followed.
"I remember trying Google to find support groups . . . there was nothing for road trauma support here," she said.
"I even went to roadside shrines and left notes asking people to call me."
